What to Expect
Dunwalke Preserve hosts pheasant shoots that begin with a breakfast in the clubhouse followed by the shoot. Up to 24 guns, if 2 to a peg, will rotate between 12 shooting pegs with everyone having an opportunity to shoot birds on each flight path. Retrievers and handlers will be standing by to pick up. Between pegs is a brief and scenic walk filled with conversations of high birds and great shots made and missed! Halfway through the morning, is a break for “Elevenses”, featuring light fare and warm beverages before moving on to our second shoot location. The day is capped off by a lively, exquisitely prepared seasonal game lunch and wine from one of our family’s French or California vineyards.
